PM: Belarus, Bashkortostan are increasing mutual food supplies

MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) – Belarus and Bashkortostan are intensifying mutual supplies of food products, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with the head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation Radiy Khabirov in Minsk on 7 February, BelTA learned.

"I would like to highlight the growth in mutual supplies of food products and agricultural raw materials. In 2024, Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation increased the supplies of amino acids to Bashkortostan tenfold compared to 2023," Roman Golovchenko said.

He pointed out that amid the sanctions it is very important to replace producers from unfriendly countries that left the market. "It is especially relevant for agriculture, as it is about food security. Currently, the Belarusian enterprise Gomelagrokomplekt manufactures refrigerators for dairy farms by order of one of the Bashkortostan enterprises. We are ready to increase supplies of this equipment to meet the needs of both dairy and milk processing industries. We are open and waiting for orders," the prime minister stressed.
