MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – As many as 101 new resident companies have been registered in the Hi-Tech Park since the beginning of 2025, BelTA learned from Head of the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board of the Hi-Tech Park Anna Ryabova before the Supervisory Board’s session chaired by Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin.
Anna Ryabova remarked that Belarus had essentially acted like a pioneer in regulating the use of cryptocurrencies. “All of us remember the Digital Economy Development Ordinance of 21 December 2017. We are already summarizing some intermediate results and naturally we evaluate them,” she said.
How to regulate the legislation concerning the use of cryptocurrencies, where efforts should be channeled, and how this industry should be developed will be reviewed during today’s session. Participants of the session will also review the fulfillment of instructions given as a result of the previous session such as the launch of pilot projects, ready-made solutions from resident companies in the IT industry, and support for the education sphere.
Anna Ryabova stated that the Hi-Tech Park has a smooth procedure in place for interaction with the resident companies that work with cryptocurrencies. There are 15 resident companies in the Hi-Tech Park. “There are no complaints. We’ve perfected the regulations at the level of the Supervisory Board,” she pointed out.
The official stressed that this year the park has been seeing traditional steady growth across all indicators, including export, earnings, and the number of companies. “Since the beginning of the year we’ve already allowed an extra 101 companies to settle down in the park. In other words, the steady interest in our legal regime remains high and grows even higher,” Anna Ryabova concluded.
