Minsk Tractor Works seeks to resume deliveries to Mexico

MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – The Mexican market is large, therefore Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) should find opportunities to resume exports, MTZ Deputy Marketing Director Lolitta Snitko said following her visit to Mexico's Toluca Industrial Park as part of a Belarusian business delegation, BelTA learned from the press service of MTZ Holding Company.

Representatives of the Belarusian delegation studied the infrastructure of the industrial park and the services provided to foreign companies, and held negotiations.
“Enterprises and products of MTZ Holding Company were presented and business contacts were established with a view to promoting our equipment on the market of Mexico,” Lolitta Snitko said commenting on the results of the visit. “In the 1980s, MTZ delivered 1,000 tractors to this country; later deliveries dwindled to a trickle. This market is large, we will try to find a way to resume exports,” she added.

Earlier, the Free Economic Zone Minsk and the Toluca Industrial Park signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement aims to expand trade and investment cooperation, including participation in joint projects, business events, and trade and investment missions. According to the free economic zone, these business events are aimed at strengthening business ties between Belarus and Mexico and attracting Mexican investment into the Belarusian economy.
