MINSK, 14 August (BelTA) – High production standards at enterprises of the Industry Ministry contribute to the sector’s sustainable growth, Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov said during his working visit to Management Company of the Minsk Motor Plant (MMZ trademark) Holding Company, BelTA learned from the Industry Ministry’s press service.
The minister assessed the plant’s production standards within the framework of the five-year quality improvement plan, highlighting safety and quality issues, while also discussing plans for further modernization and production efficiency enhancements.
Andrei Kuznetsov, accompanied by MMZ Director General Aleksandr Botvinnik, toured key workshops and production chain sections, reviewing existing protocols and procedures aimed at maintaining high standards of workplace discipline, cleanliness, and adherence to standardized technological processes.
The minister inspected several types of test benches, assembly shop production areas for engines, and advanced quality control systems, including an industrial computed tomography scanner. The visit also featured demonstrations of modern technological complexes, featuring crankshaft machining equipment, a universal machining center, and an innovative 3D printer for additive manufacturing.
Key issues regarding the organization of processes for the collection, storage, and subsequent disposal of metallurgical waste were discussed, including the development of optimal coordination schemes between the enterprise’s departments. Particular attention was paid to the final stage of implementing the project to construct an in-house drinking water deferrization station, aimed at improving water supply quality and ensuring compliance with environmental standards for production activities.
Following the visit, the industry minister remarked that enterprises under the Industry Ministry must uphold high production standards, with every employee clearly understanding their role, strictly adhering to protocols, and continuously striving for improvement. He emphasized that this is particularly crucial for ensuring the sector’s sustainable growth and enhancing the country’s economic competitiveness.
