MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – The National Agency of Investment and Privatization of Belarus (NAIP) held a series of short overseas forums in Milan, Treviso, and Rome under the common title “Belarus Investment Days in Italy” for Italian companies interested in developing business in Belarus, BelTA learned from the NAIP.

Around 40 Italian companies took part in the forums, representing the pharmaceutical, perfumery, cosmetology, textile, food industries, and other sectors. Co-organizers included the Embassy of Belarus in Italy and the Italy-Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

At each forum, NAIP Deputy Director Vitaly Zholnerovich presented Belarus’ investment opportunities tailored to the interests and requests of Italian business representatives. During the negotiations, Italian entrepreneurs inquired about practical aspects of opening or resuming business in Belarus, including banking services, customs regulation, and other issues. The Belarusian delegation also included Belarusian companies interested in expanding cooperation with Italian partners. Their representatives delivered brief presentations and actively participated in negotiations.

In Milan, Angelo Ilardi, head of the Italy-Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, noted that today it is more important than ever to maintain business ties, exchange up-to-date information, and support Italian companies in implementing their projects in Belarus.

In Rome, Belarus’ Chargé d’Affaires ad interim in Italy Anton Kipet emphasized the importance of preserving constructive dialogue between the business communities of the two countries, strengthening direct contacts between Belarusian and Italian companies, and developing new areas of trade and economic cooperation.
