MOSCOW, 21 May (BelTA) – Representatives of the Iranian business community have been invited to attend the Eurasian Economic Forum in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Eurasian Economic Commission.
A meeting was held in Moscow between Member of the Board (Minister) for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission Andrey Slepnev and President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Samad Hasanzadeh. They discussed interaction between the business circles of the EAEU and Iran in the context of the implementation of the full-fledged free trade agreement that entered into force on 15 May 2025. Andrey Slepnev updated the Iranian side about the work on a roadmap to implement the agreement, that will include measures to develop direct cooperation between the businesses of the EAEU and Iran and thematic seminars to explain the trade regulations.
“The new agreement offers unique terms for the business circles of the EAEU and Iran to access each other's markets, provides them with convenient mechanisms and platforms for establishing interaction, solving urgent problems of trade and economic cooperation and helps better understand the specifics of legislation and its application in our countries,” Andrey Slepnev explained.
“He also invited Iranian businesses to take part in the Eurasian Economic Forum that will be held in Minsk on 26-27 June,” the EEC noted.
“We view the new stage of cooperation with Iran as a partnership. It is important that our entrepreneurs perceive each other not as competitors from whom they must fence themselves off, but as partners in order to build up their potential and technologies and work together in a united market of 250 million people,” Andrei Slepnev emphasized.
