MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – The international wholesale exhibition Prodexpo 2025 has kicked off at the Minsk International Exhibition Center and will run until 14 November, BelTA has learned.
This year, alongside Belarusian enterprises, participants from Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Vietnam, India, and Türkiye will showcase their achievements and technologies. Meetings are scheduled with representatives of retail chains in Belarus and Russia, foreign delegations, and B2B negotiations. Guests from 27 countries, represented at the embassy level, are expected to attend Prodexpo.
Visitors will be offered a diverse business program, featuring topical discussions on the development of the food market and expert debates among industry professionals.The program includes the International Confectionery Art Championship 2025, the International Packaging Contest SmakArt 2025 and the International Bakers' Symposium. Culinary competitions will also take place. On the first day, a joint culinary project called Dumplings with Souls will be presented, featuring Russian People's Artist Edgard Zapashny as a participant. On the second day, renowned chef Konstantin Ivlev will join the event as an honored guest, highlighting the importance of shared culinary heritage with regional representatives.
In addition, the international tasting contest for food quality "Prodexpo. Traditions. Quality. Innovation" will take place. The contest includes categories such as bakery products, meat (including poultry), dairy products, potato-based products, and confectionery. Every year, around 100 domestic and foreign manufacturers participate. Since 2020, the Scientific and Practical Center for Foodstuffs of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has been a co-organizer. The tastings are held in a closed format with product samples being coded and anonymized.
Annually, the commissions evaluate between 300 and 500 samples. Based on the results of the competition, which will be announced during the days of Prodexpo 2025, the Grand Prix, gold, and silver medals are awarded. On 11 November, the Grand Prix will be presented to the best entries, while on 14 November gold and silver medals, along with quality certificates, will be awarded.
The exhibition and events will take place in two halls, with representatives from 11 regions of Russia showcasing their exhibits. Representatives from all regions of Belarus will also participate on a large scale.
The exhibition will also showcase representatives from the confectionery, canning, sugar, salt, alcohol, and tobacco industries: 15 enterprises from Belgospishcheprom Concern will be represented across 10 stands covering a total area of 234 square meters. Branded trading will be organized for Spartak, Krasny Pischevik, Krasny Mozyryanin, and Gorodeya Sugar Factory. Negotiations with retail chains will take place, and new product lines will be displayed and available for tasting at the Minsk exhibition.
Prodexpo is Belarus’ leading sectoral food exhibition, organized by the National Exhibition Center Belexpo of the Presidential Property Management Directorate and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, with support of Belgospishcheprom Concern.
The exhibition brings together producers and suppliers of food and beverages. For professionals in the food industry, Prodexpo is a major showcase: premieres of new foods and gastronomic products, demonstrations of technologies and solutions for production, from everyday staples to gourmet delicacies, festive snacks, and specialized diets, are all featured here.
For the convenience of guests and participants, temporary bus routes No. 912E and No. 962E (from the metro stations Akademiya Nauk and Pushkinskaya) will be in operation. 11 November is designated as VIP Day; from the second day of the exhibition, it will be open to all visitors. Admission is charged.
