MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) – In January-March of this year the gross agricultural output in farms of all categories rose by 6.8% year-on-year, Belarusian Agriculture and Food minister Alla Lomakina said during a meeting to sum up the performance of the agricultural sector in Q1, BelTA has learned.
"In January-March 2024, the growth rate of gross agricultural output in farms of all categories amounted to 106.8% year-on-year. The growth was posted by all regions except for Gomel Oblast," Alla Lomakina said.
According to the Agriculture and Food Ministry, the gross agricultural output in farms of all categories is expected to grow by 8% in January-May. "We are going at a good pace, and we intend to keep it up," the deputy minister said.
