MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) - Belarus’ National Statistical Committee (Belstat) has calculated the gender pay gap, BelTA learned from newly published data on the difference in average hourly wages.

The gap was assessed in two ways: one that takes into account education, profession, work experience and industry factors (adjusted gap), and another that does not consider these individual characteristics (unadjusted gap).

As of October 2024, the adjusted gender pay gap stood at 6% in favor of men, while the unadjusted gap was 26.8%. It means that on average women earn less per hour than men.
