MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) - In H1 2022 Belarusians sold $404.6 million worth of foreign currency more than they purchased, BelTA learned from the statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
In January-June 2022 individuals bought the equivalent of $4.552 billion in cash and cashless forms and sold $4.957 billion worth of foreign currency. In June the net sale of foreign currency by individuals totaled $41.3 million.
In January-June 2022 Belarusian economic entities bought $638.5 million worth of foreign currency more than sold, according to the National Bank. Legal entities of Belarus bought $13.063 billion worth of foreign currency and sold $12.425 billion in January-June 2022.
In June 2022 legal entities' purchases exceeded sales by $137.2 million.
