EEC Council to discuss EAEU countries’ fulfilment of commitments in energy sector

MOSCOW, 19 September (BelTA) - A meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) featuring deputy prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries is set to take place on 24 September, BelTA learned from the EEC press service.

Plans are in place to discuss the procedure for identification of e-commerce goods, which provide for the possibility of their return after purchase, and also the amount of security for the fulfillment of the duties of the e-commerce operator.

Members of the EEC Council will consider a list of measures to implement the main benchmarks of macroeconomic policy of the EAEU countries for 2024-2025, the results of the monitoring of the implementation by the EAEU member states in 2023 of commitments in the energy sector, provided for by the EAEU agreement.

The agenda of the meeting will also include issues related to the draft agreement on administrative cooperation in property assessment services and on amendments to the list of regulated products (regulated cargoes, regulated materials, regulated goods) subject to quarantine phytosanitary control (supervision) on the customs border of the EAEU and the customs territory of the EAEU.

Belarus will be represented in the EEC Council by Vice Premier Igor Petrishenko.
