TIANJIN, 31 August (BelTA) - China's largest electrical equipment manufacturer TBEA intends to bring its investments and technologies to Belarus. The matter was discussed during a visit of Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov to the production facilities and exhibition of the company in Tianjin, BelTA has learned.
Following the visit of the Belarusian delegation to the company, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between the State Production Association of the Electric Power Industry Belenergo and TBEA. On Belarus’ behalf, the document was signed by Belenergo Director General Andrei Panchenko.

“The Belarusian energy system is a highly automated complex that reliably and stably provides our country with electrical and thermal energy. In the coming decade, we face a rather difficult task - the development and modernization of the energy complex. Interaction with Chinese partners is based on a solid foundation of many years of cooperation,” the director general said.

After the signing of the agreement, further detailed work will begin on the possibilities for the participation of Chinese partners in the development of Belarus's energy complex. The possibility of the company opening a production facility for the manufacture of the most modern equipment is under consideration. The location has not yet been determined; all relevant issues will be resolved at a later stage. “We have studied the experience and production level of our Chinese partners. We see that it is world-class,” Andrei Panchenko noted.
TBEA is China's largest manufacturer of electrical equipment for the transmission, distribution, and transformation of electricity.
