MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) - Belarus is interested in attracting Chinese investors to the country, Olga Bondar, Head of the Development Infrastructure Department at the Belarusian Economy Ministry, said at a meeting of the Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Belarusian-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee in Beijing, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry of Belarus.
Olga Bondar noted that effective investment cooperation is the basis for strong and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries. Olga Bondar and representatives of the Foreign Investment Administration at the Ministry of Commerce of China discussed the prospects for further cooperation.
According to Olga Bondar, last year China ranked third among the countries - direct investors in Belarus, having increased the investment by 2.6 times over the last five years.
In order to strengthen the existing cooperation and establish new business contacts, Belarus invited the Chinese side to hold a series of exhibitions of sister regions in the Great Stone park in Belarus in 2025-2026 and a number of investment forums in the regions of China with an aim of attracting Chinese investors to the country.
