MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) - The output of BKM Holding in 2024 increased by about 10% compared to 2023, BelTA learned from the company.

2024 became a truly “tram” year for the holding company, the press service said. “The production of two new models was launched. These are T856 (fully low-floor three-section tram) and T701 (tram body with variable floor level). The trams were delivered to Mozyr (Belarus’ first city featuring T811), Krasnodar, Samara, Novosibirsk. Low-floor trams were launched in Minsk for the first time. A project to assemble electric buses and MiNiN trams is being successfully implemented in Nizhny Novgorod. The first T856 tram is to be sent there as well,” the company said.

As part of the national environmental project, Shklov completely switched to E321 Olgerd electric buses. The same vehicles now transport passengers in Krasnodar and Sochi. Last year articulated electric buses E433 Vitovt were produced for Minsk and Mikashevichi (Granit Company). St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk have received new Olgerd trolleybuses this year.

Eurasian Electric Bus was presented to the Belarusian president and members of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The collection of awards was expanded by three diplomas for export, development of a low-floor tram and an electric cargo vehicle,” the press service said.

The company's social policy is to take care of its employees and search for opportunities for their development. The company pays close attention to improving working conditions, upgrading equipment in the shops. Salary growth alone amounted to more than 30%.

A total of 32 organized excursions (that is more than 700 people) took place as part of industrial tourism. More than 60 official delegations visited the enterprise, including from such countries as Philippines, Myanmar, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and regions of the Russian Federation. An anniversary book and an interactive panel with a demonstration of a tram and an electric bus were implemented as projects to showcase the enterprise and its machinery.
