BelAZ to supply 15 haul trucks to Vietnam

MINSK, 16 December (BelTA) – Zhodino-based Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ trademark) is set to supply 15 haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 45 tonnes to Vietnam, BelTA learned from the company.

“Our specialists have recently come back from the international trade fair Vietnam Expo 2014 where they held talks with the company Au Viet Industry. The parties agreed on the supplies of 15 BelAZ haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 45 tonnes to the mine Apatite Vietnam,” the company informed.

BelAZ shipped ten haul trucks with the carrying capacity of 45 tonnes to Vietnam in 2013. “Talks are underway to expand the range of products exported to Vietnam. Maybe, we will start supplying haul trucks with a bigger carrying capacity next year,” the company informed.

During the Vietnam Expo 2014 international trade fair, BelAZ delegation held talks with Vietnamese businessmen. “This is a testimony to the fact that BelAZ vehicles have earned a good reputation and will be in demand in the future,” the company's specialists noted. The company has recently won an award of the Union of National Business Ratings “Export/Importer of the Year” in the foreign trade nomination.

Vietnam is one of Indochina's richest countries in terms of the reserves and diversity of mineral resources. Coal deposits are estimated at 130 billion tonnes. Southeast Asia's biggest coal deposit (12-15 billion tonnes) is found in Quang Ninh Province of Vietnam. The region is a very promising sales market for many companies engaged in production of mining equipment.

Zhodino-based Belarusian Autoworks was founded in September 1948. In 2010 BelAZ was reincorporated into an open joint stock company. In September 2012 BelAZ became the managing company of BelAZ Holding Company. It is the world's largest manufacturer of heavy and super heavy haul trucks and other heavy vehicles used by the mining industry and the civil engineering industry.
