MINSK, 23 September (BelTA) – The introduction of digital development elements by organizations is exceedingly beneficial, BelTA learned from Belarusian First Deputy Economy Minister Ivan Vezhnovets on the sidelines of the Belarusian Industrial and Innovation Forum.
The forum is unique because it has concentrated the key topics on today’s agenda, Ivan Vezhnovets believes. “Those are primarily the digital transformation of the manufacturing sector. An important moment in the work of any industrial enterprise is to build correct business processes and elements of digital transformation. They have prevailing significance in the modern world,” he is convinced.
Speaking about the digital transformation at enterprises, he stressed that it requires a lot of money and not everyone is ready to invest in it at present. “But as practice indicates, the organizations that have implemented elements of digital development have recouped their investments with interest. After all, we are talking about the optimization of business processes, about new directions being introduced in management,” the first deputy economy minister explained. “The introduction of artificial intelligence into manufacturing is also quite important. The establishment of business chains, the processing of big data and information without an automated mode and without computer-aided instruction systems controlled via artificial intelligence are impossible in today’s reality.”
Andrei Kopytok, Chairman of the Supreme Coordinating Council of the union of legal persons Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship, remarked that over 103 companies are taking part in the forum. One third of them are from Russia and four companies are from the People’s Republic of China. He is convinced that the forum would serve as a platform for demonstrating innovations, for establishing business contacts, and for launching joint projects.
Yuri Zolotarev, Russia’s trade representative in Belarus, pointed out that for a long time Russia and Belarus have been close strategic partners in matters of politics, economy, security, and culture. The comparatively same levels of development of science and production, the historical relations between the countries, similar mentalities, and the similar legal frameworks have determined the tight nature of cooperation. “At present Russia and Belarus are not only the most active members of the Eurasian Economic Union. They are confidently advancing towards deeper manufacturing cooperation, deeper integration processes in the unique format of the Union State [of Belarus and Russia]. Today we have opened the Belarusian Industrial and Innovation Forum. Innoprom Belarus will take place next week. This is Russia’s and Belarus’ shared history,” Yuri Zolotarev underlined.
The Belarusian Industrial and Innovation Forum has been held since 1997 and has become an international event for showing accomplishments in the field of cutting-edge technologies.
