MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) - Belarusian dried ice cream was first sold to Armenia through the exchange, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE).
The commodity exchange registered the first deal to export the dried mixture for the production of ice cream to Armenia. The buyer was a trade and production company from Yerevan that accredited with BUCE in May of this year, and the seller was one of the milk processing factories of Gomel Oblast.
Thus, the range of domestic dairy products sold to the Armenian market via the BUCE platform has expanded. Until now, Armenia bought only powdered milk and butter from among the wide range of Belarusian dairy.
“In H1 2025 Armenia made it to top 10 buyers of powdered milk and butter at the exchange. Butter import has already exceeded the 2024 import. The most popular commodity among Armenian companies is skimmed milk powder. In 2025, it generated 65% of the total volume of exchange exports to Armenia,” the BUCE press service said.
As of 16 July, 63 residents of Armenia were accredited at BUCE, 15 of whom began to participate in exchange trading in 2025. The Belarusian-Armenian exchange trade rose 1.6 times over January-June 2024. Dry whole and skimmed milk, butter, softwood planks and non-ferrous metal scrap were major export items to Armenia. In turn, Armenian companies mainly sold steelmaking iron and plastic products at the BUCE.
