
MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) - Belarus' labor market continues to experience steady wage growth amid low unemployment, BelTA learned from the macroeconomic review of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
"Double-digit year-on-year wage growth has been sustained for over 20 months," the EDB noted.
According to the data, real wages in Belarus increased by 11.8% in March, following an 11.1% rise in February.
In the public sector, real wages grew by 12.3%. High wage growth rates are also observed in almost all industries of the non-budget sector. Belarus' unemployment rate hit a historic low, dropping to 2.8% in the first quarter of 2025.
