
MINSK, 25 April (BelTA) – Belarus will share the experience of training specialists in the field of enhancing energy efficiency and the certification of energy management systems with Russia’s Smolensk Oblast. The relevant agreement was reached during a meeting of Deputy Chairman of the State Standardization Committee of Belarus, Director of the Energy Efficiency Department Vitaly Kretsky and Aleksei Kazakov, Advisor to the Smolensk Oblast Governor, representatives of the Energy Efficiency Department told BelTA.
Participants of the meeting discussed possible prospects of interaction in the field of enhancing energy efficiency and using renewable sources of energy in Smolensk Oblast. Practical approaches to the realization of energy efficiency projects were discussed. The matter of necessary conditions was also touched upon, including forms and methods of state support in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency enhancement with a view to motivating organizations to introduce energy management systems. Guidelines were formulated for jointly looking into matters concerning the propaganda of energy saving, including among children and young people.
The discussion resulted in a joint decision on organizing the exchange of practical experience of training specialists in the field of enhancing energy efficiency and the certification of energy management systems.
The meeting took place in the Smolensk Oblast center for international cooperation in Minsk. The center’s Director Artyom Dzhons and Oleg Kletny, Director for Strategic Development at OOO Regional Energy Agency of the city of Smolensk, also took part in the business event.
