
MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Enterprises of Belarus and Russia’s Yaroslavl Oblast intend to boost industrial cooperation, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia told BelTA following a working trip of Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik to Yaroslavl Oblast.
The talks with Yaroslavl Oblast Governor Mikhail Yevrayev featured a detailed discussion on such key cooperation areas as promoting industrial cooperation, supplying farm machines, utility, special-purpose and cargo vehicles and fostering cultural and educational ties.
Special consideration was given to the prospects of supplying the cities of Yaroslavl Oblast with Belarusian-made passenger transport. The parties agreed to consider supplying firefighting equipment and to explore the participation of Belarusian enterprises in the region’s water treatment and purification projects.
The ambassador also toured a number of industrial enterprises in Yaroslavl Oblast. Meetings with the management of Dizel and Peredovaya Enegretika companies focused on the current interaction with Belarusian partners and the development of cooperation chains. A visit to Tutaev Motor Plant, a key diesel engine supplier to Belarusian manufacturers, included detailed talks on import substitution, technological sovereignty, product certification, and developing the engine range for BelAZ dump trucks.
