MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – During his visit to Novosibirsk Oblast, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich shared his vision how to give a boost to bilateral cooperation, BelTA has learned.

“The Novosibirsk hosts prepared an extensive and very useful program,” Viktor Karankevich remarked. “All visits to the factories are important and useful, because their products may later be in demand by economic entities of the Republic of Belarus. These are companies working in petrochemistry, oil refining, oil production. Economic entities of Novosibirsk Oblast and Belarus can build partnerships and develop industrial cooperation. Establishment of joint ventures is also under discussion. These can truly be points of growth for mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation,” he said.

As part of the working trip to Novosibirsk Oblast, the deputy prime minister visited the special design and technology bureau Katalizator, which is engaged in the production of chemical products. The bureau makes more than 70 types of catalysts for oil refining and desulfurization. More than 80% of the output is exported, and the annual capacity of the enterprise is 18,000 tonnes.

Viktor Karankevich also visited an enterprise that repairs and manufactures spindles as well as  the research and production enterprise Luch that can become an important element in Belarus - Novosibirsk Oblast cooperation in geophysics. The company produces rotary controlled systems for offshore, arctic projects, drilling multi-lateral and horizontal wells.
