MOSCOW, 20 January (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia are discussing the possibility of signing an interstate program in the field of aircraft building until 2035, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik told the media, BelTA learned.
“I hope we will sign a joint interstate program in the field of aircraft construction, which will cover not only the Osvei [Belarusian-Russian 19-seat twin-engine light multipurpose aircraft] but also the program of aircraft building development until 2035. Today we are discussing this issue with the United Aircraft Corporation, with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation,” the Ambassador said.
Speaking about the current cooperation in the field of aircraft construction, he said that the contracts with Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407 and Aviation Repair Plant No.558 are in the process of signing. “Today we are discussing the nomenclature of products to be manufactured in our country in order to complement each other. This is a large range of aircraft components, both mechanics and hardware,” Ambassador Aleksandr Rogozhnik added.
