MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – In 2023 the Innovation Fund of the Minsk City Council allocated funding to the Amkodor machinery producer to implement two large innovative projects, BelTA learned from the press service of the holding company.

Minsk Mayor Vladimir Kukharev has toured several enterprises of the Amkodor holding company, including the experimental plant, Amkodor-Unimod, Amkodor-Mash and Amkodor-Belvar. The mayor studied the production facilities of the enterprises and new models of equipment.

During the meeting, development prospects and deadlines for ongoing innovative projects were discussed. In 2023, funding was allocated from the Innovation Fund of the Minsk City Council to implement two major projects: “Production of small-sized forestry machines” and “Mass production of harvester heads”.

“These projects provide for launching the production of various types of forestry machines meant for export, as well as the production of competitive harvester heads as part of the import substitution program. Prototypes have already been made and are being tested. The new products are arousing great interest around the world,” the press service of the holding company said.

Support for innovative projects by the municipal authorities suggests that the development of the domestic manufacturing industry and promotion of new technologies are one of top priorities for the government. These efforts are expected to help strengthen the country’s positions in the international market.
