MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) - The Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture hosted B2B negotiations between business communities of Belarus and Iran. The negotiations discussed the signing of a letter of intent to supply cable and wire products to Iran, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).
Belarusian companies that visited Iran are engaged in various areas: confectionery and cable and wire production, logistics services, investment attraction and others.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed several important matters to strengthen economic relations, expand opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between businesses and diversify markets. As a result, the parties agreed to promote Belarusian confectionery products on the Iranian market. The parties also discussed the signing of a letter of intent to supply cable and wire products to Iran. The two countries are actively cooperating to launch a joint project, particularly to produce high-tech equipment. Later, the Iranian Transportation and Logistics Federation hosted negotiations to discuss logistics.
During the visit, Belarusian business representatives met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Iran Dmitry Koltsov, Senior Counselor of the Belarusian Embassy in Iran Denis Zdorov and representative of the BelCCI in Iran Behzad Yaghoobi Araghi. The meetings touched upon possible ways of cooperation between the businesses of the two countries, promising areas of joint work, transportation and logistics. Representatives of the Iranian side, including business circles, were invited to participate in the large-scale events of this year in Belarus: Belagro 2025 and INNOPROM. Belarus.
