
MINSK, 4 March (BelTA) – The investment projects are of primary importance for the Belarusianmanufacturing sector, Viktor Karankevich, who has been re-appointed deputy prime minister of Belarus, told the media, BelTA has learned.
He outlined the following investment priorities: "The main focus must be on the integration projects aimed at import substitution and expansion of the range of manufactured goods."
Viktor Karankevich highlighted the vitality of improving competitiveness, building up the presence of domestic products not only in the traditional markets but also far abroad, and ramping up exports.
"Attention was drawn to the implementation of such breakthrough investment projects as the second nuclear power plant, pulp and board plant focused on advanced wood processing. The head of state stressed the importance of these landmark projects," the deputy prime minister said.
