Belarus’ industry minister explains benefits of participating in INNOPROM expo

MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) – Participation in the INNOPROM expo helps identify new points of growth to expand cooperation with Russia and other countries, Belarus Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov told reporters following the strategic session “Technological partnership: the focus of international industry” that was held during the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM in Russia’s Yekaterinburg, BelTA learned from the press service of the Industry Ministry of Belarus.

Taking part in the session were Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin.

“The key goal of Belarus’ participation in this exhibition is to identify new points of growth in bilateral relations, strengthen cooperation with Russia and other countries, step up trade by expanding ties in economy and science,” said Aleksandr Yefimov.

The minister recalled that Belarus took part in the expo in 2023 as a partner country, which gave additional impetus to the Belarus-Russia projects in the manufacturing sector. “This year, the Republic of Belarus will showcase promising solutions and joint projects that will demonstrate the real potential of cooperation,” the minister added.

The theme of the INNOPROM 2024 exhibition is “Technology partnership: Shaping the future”. In this regard, Aleksandr Yefimov noted that in order to turn interaction into a win-win cooperation, it is crucial to build partnerships in all areas and at all levels. “Technological partnerships are not just a trend today, but a necessity given a competitive and dynamically developing business landscape,” the industry minister emphasized.

Assessing the expo’s contribution to deepening economic integration, Aleksandr Yefimov called it a solid and effective platform for dialogue for dozens of countries of the world.
