MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) – Belarus has harvested 46.6% of haylage, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
First grass has been cut on the area of 1,206,300 hectares (85.8%) and removed from the area of 1,107,600 hectares, which is 91.8% of the grass cut. Second grass has been cut on the area of 55,500 hectares and removed from the area of 36,300 hectares, which is 65.4% of the grass cut.
Belarus has harvested 6,212,900 tonnes of haylage (46.6%), 101,000 tonnes of hay (14.4%), and 210,200 tonnes of silage (1.02%).
There are plans to harvest over 9.8 million tonnes of grass fodder this year; at the moment 18.7% of the plan has been fulfilled. There are plans to procure over 20.5 million tonnes of silage, 13.3 million tonnes of haylage, and 700,400 tonnes of hay.
