Belarus' government approves measures to implement 2025 budget law 

 

MINSK, 14 February (BelTA) – The Council of Ministers passed Resolution No. 89 on 13 February 2025 to approve measures to implement the 2025 budget law. This document has been officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, has learned.

The document spells out how budget expenditures will be financed in 2025, as well as lists of decisions that various government agencies should prepare and approve this year.

In particular, the Agriculture and Food Ministry should submit a Council of Ministers draft resolution by 1 March 2025 determining the physical volumes of purchases (excluding debt repayment) of fuels and lubricants and mineral fertilizers using subventions.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications should determine, in agreement with the Finance Ministry, how  the money of the National Civil Aviation Fund allocated for maintaining airfields and airports should be spent. This should also be done by 1 March 2025. The Ministry of Transport and Communications should also, in agreement with the Finance Ministry and regional executive committees, spell out the procedure for reimbursing part of the costs for maintaining regional airports. The money will be provided by local budgets.

The resolution came into force after its official publication and applies to relations that arose from 1 January 2025.
