MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – A ceremony to hand over the first batch of vehicles made by Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) took place in Managua (Nicaragua) on 27 August, the MAZ press service told BelTA.
A total of 128 units of machinery were delivered to Central America by sea earlier this month. The shipment included water tankers, concrete mixers, flatbed trucks, and dump trucks.
Attending the ceremony were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Cuba and concurrently to the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua Vitaly Borchuk and Advisor for investments, trade, and international cooperation to the Nicaragua president Laureano Facundo Ortega Murillo.
The MAZ vehicles provided to Nicaraguan consumers underwent pre-sale preparation at the MAZ service partner facility in Nicaragua and are fully ready for operation.
