MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) - The Director of the National Agency for Investment and Privatization (NAIP) of Belarus Dmitry Krasovsky outlined the country' competitive advantages for foreign investors during a presentation at a conference to discuss economic cooperation between China’s Shaanxi province and Belarus, the NAIP told BelTA.
Dmitry Krasovsky highlighted five key reasons why investors choose Belarus for business development: its advantageous geographical location, access to the large Eurasian market, skilled workforce, natural resources, and various exemptions and benefits. Among these, the availability of qualified personnel is considered one of the most crucial factors.
“Belarusians are well-educated and highly skilled professionals. With a population of 9 million, the country has nearly 50 universities. Belarusians are also known for their friendliness, and visitors of various nationalities and religions feel completely safe on the streets of Belarusian cities,” the NAIP director said.
During his presentation, Dmitry Krasovsky compared the cost of business resources in Belarus and China and emphasized the opportunities that Belarus' preferential regimes offer to investors.
The conference was organized by NAIP’s partner, the Belarusian-Chinese company BelJinXin. The Chinese delegation included leaders and representatives of government agencies responsible for trade and investment development and companies from Shaanxi province. On the Belarusian side, participants included representatives from the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange and commercial enterprises.
Before the conference, the NAIP hosted negotiations with the delegation from the Department of Commerce of Shaanxi province.
