MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) – An informal opening and a presentation of the innovative Belarusian-Chinese joint venture Aero Technology and System (ZAO ATS) took place in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 23 December, representatives of the company told BelTA.
Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov and Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Ulakhovich took part in the opening ceremony.
A presentation of the company's manufacturing and R&D site was arranged. The company focuses on designing and manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles as well as multirotor and aircraft-type hybrid unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The products are made in partnership with the world's largest vendors of flying drones and using ZAO ATS's unique proprietary advances in the area of electronics and software.
Participants of the event discussed prospects of development of small manned aviation in Belarus. Attention was drawn to the organization of development and production of gyrocopters (autogiros) at ZAO ATS premises. The world market of autogiros grows by about 5% every year.
In addition to the drones the company makes ZAO ATS presented a proprietary complex for benchmark testing of unmanned aerial vehicles. The complex enables the highest level of incoming and outgoing inspections of vehicles and onboard equipment.
Vladimir Gusakov praised ZAO ATS's manufacturing standards and mentioned the need to promptly develop proprietary unmanned flying technologies in the areas where Belarusian scientists and engineers enjoy a serious competitive edge.
In turn, Vladimir Ulakhovich drew attention to the export potential of the aviation products the company develops and makes. An agreement was reached on providing assistance with the active promotion of Belarusian products and technologies in the area of remote control on foreign markets.
