MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – Practical cooperation between Belarus and China has reached new heights, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Zhang Wenchuan said at a meeting with journalists on 29 January, BelTA has learned.
"According to Chinese statistics, trade between China and Belarus reached a record high of $8.86 billion in 2025, which was 5.5% more year-on-year. The trade in agricultural products, exhibition economy, and green economy were all gaining momentum. The joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative was progressing steadily," the diplomat said.

“Last year, the construction project of the National Football Stadium, built with China’s assistance, was successfully completed. The number of resident companies in the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone increased to 171. The Year of China-Belarus Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation also concluded successfully, delivering outstanding results in joint research, platform development, and the practical application of research outcomes. In line with the agreements reached at the sixth meeting of the intergovernmental committee, the parties held the first meeting of the subcommittee on industrial cooperation and officially declared 2026-2027 the Years of Industrial Cooperation between China and Belarus,” Ambassador Zhang Wenchuan stressed.
