Contact group on Ukraine to meet in Minsk 15 June

MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – The trilateral contact group on Ukraine and representatives of the self-proclaimed republics will meet in Minsk on 15 June to discuss the investigation in the violation of the ceasefire, BelTA learnt from the OSCE press service.

According to the press service, the trilateral contact group and representatives of certain areas of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine conducted a video-conference on 10 June to discuss the recent ceasefire violations along the line of contact.

“The participants have agreed that a full and objective investigation of these violations is needed which will be discussed at the next meeting of the trilateral contact group in Minsk on 15 June 2016, with the participation of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine and the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination,” OSCE Special Representative Ambassador Martin Sajdik was cited as saying.

In his words, the participants further agreed to immediately take all necessary measures for a complete ceasefire, in order to facilitate the investigation.
