Belarusians urged to do their jobs better to avoid life in trenches

MINSK, 24 April (BelTA) - We still have a lot to do, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he addressed the 7th Belarusian People's Congress in Minsk on 24 April, BelTA has learned.

“We have enough reasons to be proud. There will be even more. We have even more work to do. With strict discipline in place, there will be positive results! If we do not want to sit in the trenches, we must work responsibly, each in their place. We must work honestly and hard. We must work the way we do,” the head of state said.

The president added: “We have already surpassed ourselves more than once in all the sectors. We must do the impossible in the Year of Quality.”

“Today it is more important than ever to keep the potential of a strong, united nation, a strong and prosperous Belarus, a state for the people for the sake of peace,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

According to the head of state, this potential has been built up over decades. “The colossal efforts of the Soviet generation have been invested in it. We have no right to let ourselves down, nor those who helped us created a sovereign state,” the president said.
