Orphans in focus of Minsk talks on Ukraine conflict

MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – Participants of the talks in Minsk raised the matter of the possible transfer of orphan children from the conflict zone in Ukraine, BelTA learned from Martin Sajdik, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office's special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine, on 1 June.

According to the source, the possibility of transferring orphan children from individual areas of Donetsk Oblast and Lugansk Oblast and contrariwise was discussed.

Martin Sajdik reminded that the matter was raised during the previous round of talks, too. Those are orphan children and children separated from their families due to the armed conflict. All the participants of the talks spoke in favor of tight cooperation with experts on the matter, noted the OSCE special representative.
