Czechia welcomes positive developments in Belarus-EU relations

MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) – Czechia welcomes the positive developments in the relations between Belarus and the European Union, Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Lubomir Zaoralek said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Czech Republic Valery Kurdyukov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed a wide range of matters of the Belarus-Czechia relations and the development of the dialogue between Belarus and the EU.

Lubomir Zaoralek and Valery Kurdyukov also exchanged opinions on the prospects of strengthening the bilateral cooperation in politics, trade, economy, and culture. The parties showed mutual interest in bolstering the political dialogue and discussed the plans related to the exchanges of visits and the organization of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Czech Republic in 2016.

Lubomir Zaoralek called for consolidating the positive developments in the relations between Belarus and the EU. He also praised Belarus' contribution to the efforts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict and strengthen the stability and security in Europe.
