Belarus to develop cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina

MINSK, 4 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Bosnian relations and also the cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries were discussed at the ministerial consultations that were held during the visit of Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna to Bosnia and Herzegovina, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Bosnian delegation at the consultations was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Josip Brkic.

Special attention was paid to the interaction between Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina within the framework of the Central European Initiative. “The Bosnian side shared its experience of presiding in the organization in 2016 and expressed readiness to provide assistance to Belarus during its presidency in the CEI in 2017,” the ministry added.

The two Ministries of Foreign Affairs signed a protocol on cooperation, which, among other things, foresees intensification of contacts between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina within international organizations and multilateral forums.

Alena Kupchyna also met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mato Franjicevic.

The parties discussed prospects for the intensification of cooperation in trade, economic and investment areas, regional cooperation and participation of Belarus and Bosnia and Herzegovina in specialized exhibitions and forums.
