Ivan Shamyakin: It's the greatest honor for me to write a good novel

People's Writer of Belarus Ivan Shamyakin is well-known and loved by many generations of Belarusians. His books The Springs, Restless Happiness, The Heart on the Open Palm, Snowy Winters, Telamones and Caryatides, Petrograd-Brest, and many others make up a multivolume chronicle of the past era. Ivan Shamyakin's works offer a vivid and comprehensive reflection of the life of Belarusian people in the 20th century. On 30 January, Belarus will celebrate the 95th anniversary of the writer's birth. The following are photos from BelTA's archive.
