Progress on China-Belarus Great Stone project viewed as unsatisfactory

MINSK, 21 April (BelTA) – In his State of the Nation Address on 21 April Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko described the work on the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone project as unsatisfactory, BelTA has learned.

“The work (on the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park Great Stone project – BelTA's note) could not be worse. Tough measures, including personnel decisions, will be taken there in the nearest future,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.

In his words, companies of tomorrow should be set up in the park. “There is no place for companies of yesterday and today there. Otherwise, we will not be able to sell these products here, or in the European Union, or in the world,” the President said.

In his words, Belarus is actively seeking new economic growing points that will add sustainability to its development. The Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park should become such a point. “A platform is created here to attract highly technological and competitive projects,” Alexander Lukashenko added.
