MINSK, 10 May (BelTA) – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has revised up the 2018 forecast for the Belarusian economy, BelTA learned from the Bank's new Regional Economic Prospects report.
The EBRD predicts that in 2018 the Belarusian economy will grow by 3%, an upward revision of 1% from November forecast. According to the EBRD experts, the Belarusian economy will further grow by 3% in 2019.
The EBRD says in its latest report that the Belarusian economy has been steadily recovering, with GDP increasing by 2.4% in 2017 and by 5.1% in Q1 2018.
According to the bank's report, Russia's growth is projected to hold steady at around 1.5 per cent in 2018 and 2019.
