MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) - We can definitely be useful to each other in all our joint training camps, President of the Russian Ski Association, President of the Russian Cross Country Skiing Federation, member of the Board of the International Ski Federation Elena Vyalbe said after a ceremony to sign a memorandum on cooperation between the Belarusian Ski Union and the Russian Ski Association, BelTA has learned.
“You have a lot of other sports, where you can help us, including competition. As for cross-country skiing, you have a good center. In all of our joint training, we can definitely be useful to each other. Training together with other athletes always brings results. Valentina Kaminskaya keeps us toned from time to time. We are currently testing Belarusian-made cross-country skis for the national team. I think the Belarusians can help us a lot in terms of training here,” she said.
According to her, fans will be able to see the best Russian athletes in Belarus. “In any case we will hold good competitions in Belarus in winter, and the Russian national team will take part in,” said the president of the Russian Ski Association.
Speaking about the current political situation with the exclusion of Belarusian and Russia athletes from participation in international competitions, Elena Vyalbe stressed: “We cannot guess when this will end, just like our counterparts from other countries,” she said.
