MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – The Eurasian Economic Union is ready to develop a preferential trade agreement with India, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission after the talks between Member of the Board (Minister) for Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Andrei Slepnev and Commerce Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India Sunil Barthwal.
It was noted at the meeting that the EAEU countries and India have everything they need to ramp up trade, diversify its structure and expand cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
“The EAEU member states are ready to consider new forms of interaction, including the development of a preferential trade agreement, which will increase mutual trade and expand the portfolio of traded goods,” Andrei Slepnev noted.
