MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ Yahor Sharamkou has clinched a medal at the first stage of the FIG Apparatus World Cup 2026 in Cottbus, Germany, BelTA has learned.
The leader of the Belarusian men’s team graced the podium in his signature event - the floor exercise. Yahor Sharamkou qualified with the second-best score. In the final, he scored 14.400 points securing second place. The winner, Artem Dolgopyat from Israel, scored just one-tenth of a point more. The top three was rounded out by Russia’s Aleksandr Kartsev (13.900).
During last year’s Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series, Sharamkou won one medal of each color.
