MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – Living conditions in Zhangjiakou are among the best compared with other Olympic Games, head coach of the women's biathlon team of Belarus Oleg Ryzhenkov told BelTA.
According to Oleg Ryzhenkov, the infrastructure of the Olympic village is quite convenient and compact. Yet, unfortunately, the COVID-19 restrictions will not allow fully enjoying the competition and the festive Olympic atmosphere.
“The organizers have to undertake many restrictive measures and carefully monitor the health of athletes and everyone involved in the Olympics. It can lead to completely unpredictable situations you cannot be prepared for. Nevertheless, despite all the restrictions and obstacles, the Belarusian team is in a good mood, their morale is high, the team is determined to perform to the best of their abilities and this is what determines success. The team just needs to stay confident, calm and healthy,” he stressed.
The biathlon competitions will be held from 5 to 19 February.
