Kondratyev appointed acting coach of Belarus' football team

MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) - Georgy Kondratyev has been appointed as acting head coach of the Belarusian national football team, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Football Federation.

Georgy Kondratyev made part of Mikhail Markhel's coaching team. Mikhail Markhel left the post of head coach on 5 April. Georgy Kondratyev will be in charge of the Belarusian national team in the next two friendlies: against Azerbaijan on 2 June and against Sierra Leone on 7 June.

Georgy Kondratyev, 61, headed the Belarusian national team in 2011-2014. He was also head coach of the junior team, FC Dynamo Minsk, FC Lokomotiv Vitebsk, FC Smorgon, FC Minsk and FC Belshina Bobruisk.
