MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Demand for Belarusian health resorts among Russian tourists is growing, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) told BelTA.
Experts note that this high demand is not a new trend and is expected to continue growing for many years. One reason is that people are starting to take care of their health at an earlier age. Sales data show rising popularity of wellness, rejuvenation, weight loss, and detox programs among younger travelers, starting from age 30.
According to ATOR, demand for Belarusian health resorts among Russian tourists has more than doubled. These health resorts attract visitors with lower prices compared to similar facilities in the Caucasian Mineral Waters region, Krasnodar Territory, or Crimea, while offering comparable service quality and strong medical infrastructure.
The average booking window for Belarusian health resorts is five to six months in advance. “To book a stay for the autumn, you need to plan in the spring; for summer, reservations should be made in December or January,” ATOR recommended.
In the most popular Belarusian resorts, about 70–90% of rooms for September have already been booked. At the top facilities, availability is nearly non-existent until the second half of October. Some health resorts that have already released New Year prices are also seeing holiday packages sell out quickly.
