Kolosov named third star of AHL game

MINSK, 21 February (BelTA) - Goaltender Aleksei Kolosov of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms helped his team secure a victory in the AHL regular season game, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Hockey Federation.

In the early hours of Saturday, Minsk time, the Lehigh Valley defeated the Hershey Bears, who have Ilya Protas on their roster, with a score of 4-1 on the road. Belarusian goaltender Aleksei Kolosov made 32 saves and was named the third star of the game. In the current AHL season, the Minsk native has earned ten wins in 24 games, recorded two shutouts, and posted a .905 save percentage with a 2.65 goals-against average.

Also during the night, the Abbotsford Canucks lost to the Henderson Silver Knights 3-6 on the road. Nikita Tolopilo of Belarus guarded the net for the visiting team in this match, while his compatriot Danila Klimovich scored his team’s second goal. In 43 games this season, the Belarusian forward has earned 18 points (eight goals, ten assists).
