HC Dinamo Minsk end 2025 on high, seal KHL Western Conference lead

MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk have won their final match of 2025 in the regular championship of the 2025/26 Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in Ufa, BelTA has learned.

HC Salavat Yulaev Ufa was the final opponent for the Minsk Bisons in 2025. Capitalizing on their power plays in both the first and second periods, HC Dinamo Minsk took the lead. Vitaly Pinchuk struck in the opening frame, followed by captain Andrei Stas in the second. Both Pinchuk and his assistant, Sam Anas, extended their point streaks to five games.

Just 46 seconds into the third, the home side pulled within one, and seven minutes after that, they leveled the score. The game proceeded to overtime, where the Minsk Bisons began with a 4-on-3 advantage following a penalty against HC Salavat Yulaev Ufa. Vadim Shipachyov sealed the 3-2 win for Minsk, marking his 998th point in the KHL.

HC Dinamo Minsk have earned 57 points in 39 games of the season. Dmitri Kvartalnov’s team will celebrate the New Year as the leaders of the Western Conference. The Minsk Bisons will play their first match of 2026 on 4 January away against HC Traktor Chelyabinsk.
