MINSK, 22 December (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk have got off to a winning start in their final home series of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in 2025, BelTA has learned.
On 21 December, the Minsk Bisons hosted HC Lada Togliatti. The opening period wrapped up with the Minsk side clinging to a slim one-goal edge, courtesy of Ilya Usov who lit the lamp in the 10th minute. The floodgates opened in the second. Daniil Lipsky and Rob Hamilton fired back-to-back goals early on, and just before the horn, Sam Anas and Sergei Kuznetsov buried two more to complete the onslaught. The Togliatti squad could only scrape together a single tally in response to the hosts’ four-goal barrage.
The third period saw Vitaly Pinchuk cap off the win with a double, extending Dinamo’s lead to a commanding margin. Lada’s only sign of life was a goal that came in response to his first, before the forward struck again to restore the five-goal cushion. The final scoreline read 7-2 in favor of HC Dinamo Minsk. Alex Limoges played a key role, racking up four assists for the winners. The victory extends the point streak of Dmitri Kvartalnov’s squad to eight consecutive games.
With 51 points, the Minsk club moved up to the second place in the Western Conference, trailing the leading HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl by just one point. The team’s home series will continue with a match against HC Dynamo Moscow, who are one point behind the Minsk Bisons in the standings. The game will take place at Minsk-Arena on 23 December.
