MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) - FIBA announced on Friday that the UK-Belarus game scheduled for 28 February in Newcastle for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers has been postponed, BelTA has learned.
The decision was made due to the cancellation of international flights, the inability to obtain visas for four players and the coach who did not receive their passports on time due to disruptions in air traffic network, and also following the recommendations of FIBA European security adviser.
The Belarus-UK game scheduled for 25 February in Minsk was also postponed.
